Pietro’s (Located in Vacaville, CA) – has been serving up fine Italian cuisine since 1956. The Murdaca Family called on Banis Restaurant Design to remodel their interior and add a bar and lounge area. The new design included a large leather-wrapped bar with plenty of seating around, topped with hand polished white carrera marble. The eye catching backsplash and bar shelving were custom built in the same dark walnut color to match the leather on the bar which together created a focal point in the room. Hanging above the bar Tom designed two custom awnings made of individual squares of real stained glass and rod iron. The two awnings, which are strung from the ceiling and permanently attached to the shelving, give the appearance to customers that Pietro’s bar is ‘open for business’. The crisp white marble and well-lit backsplash against the dramatic colors of the leather bar and stain glass awnings created a new fresh and exciting feel to this favored family- style restaurant.
